45 people who tried to cross the border from Belarus to Poland were detained by the Polish border guards on Friday evening.

People were part of a group of about 500 people who threw stones and used tear gas against border guards, said Anna Michalska, spokeswoman for the Polish border guard.

- 45 people were arrested and ordered to leave Poland - she continued.

Michalska has accused Belarusian security forces of using lasers to blind Polish border guards, and believes Belarus was the one that provided tear gas to migrants.

"It's obvious they didn't bring it with them," she said.

Four Polish soldiers were injured but did not require hospital treatment.

It is still difficult to verify the information on your own, especially since the Polish authorities keep journalists and aid organizations away from the border.

The migrant camp on the border with Poland was liquidated on Thursday. According to the Belarusian border guard, about 2000 people who lived there are in the transit center.
