According to a Norwegian police announcement, Troms Police District has detected a professional drug distribution network in the Troms area. This group is suspected of importing and transporting drugs to Norway and distributing them in the country for several years.

A total of 13 people were accused and 8 are currently in custody. Tens of kilos of hashish have been confiscated.

The network was made up of people with ties to Northern Norway and Troms. The activity of this group is described as professional. According to the findings, the network used, inter alia, encrypted communication.

The person who is believed to be the main manager of the criminal network was arrested by the Spanish police on November 2.

Fighting criminal networks is a high priority task

Several police districts were involved and cooperated in the case. As a result, thanks to extensive cooperation, it was possible to break down this drug distribution network.

- We are very pleased that we managed to exclude the network from the game, which we believe has earned significant sums over time by importing drugs. Clearly, tackling criminal networks is a high priority task in the Troms Police District. It is one of a handful of well-organized groups that have been dismantled in recent years, says Yngve Myrvoll, a police inspector for the Troms Police District.
