Torgeir Andersen, chief of the Drammen fire department, says it was unbelievable and tragic that his colleague died in a house fire in Svelvik.

- It's a terrible tragedy. Some of our crews live in Svelvik. This day was full of sorrow. This is a terrible situation, he says according to VG at the press conference on Monday.

He says it is difficult to express this enormous regret in words. The Drammen District Fire Department (DRBV) confirmed that their worker and his family were missing in a fire in Berger, Svelvik.

- In the fire brigade, we get closer to each other in many different situations and create strong bonds with each other. We try to be caring for each other and take care of each other, says Andersen.

For those who participated in the work of the fire brigade tonight, there will be a meeting at 18 p.m., he writes Drammens Tidende . A representative of the occupational health service will also be present.

- Then there will be more activities during the week, says Andersen.
