A sharp increase in the number of dwarf whales in Norwegian waters

About 150 dwarf whales live in Norwegian waters, an increase of 000 percent compared to 50. This is likely due to the migration of more whales in Norwegian waters rather than an increase in the population.

This is an estimated population based on the number of whales in 2014-2019, the report says Committee for Mammals Marine w Institute of Marine Research .

The 50 percent increase was from the previous whale count from 2008 to 2013. At that time, the population was approximately 100 animals.
