Oslo City Council rejects Rød's proposal to close the city's kindergartens and sports school (AKS / SFO) on December 20.
Rød suggested that sickness absenteeism, infections and work pressure in kindergartens made it necessary to close them. But the majority in the city council disagreed, it reports Avis Oslo.
The proposal, which was sent to the councilors on Tuesday, was considered at the end of the city council meeting on Wednesday evening.
Earlier on Wednesday, the Oslo City Council introduced remote education. For both primary and secondary schools and beyond adult education and vocational schools from Friday, December 17.
Then city councilor Sunniva Holmås Eidsvoll (SV) said. AKS and kindergartens should be open, but it may be possible to shorten the opening hours.
