Scam sent via SMS

The text messages were sent with a fake link that gave the impression that the sender was Kredinor. It seems that the recipients here are "random" people. Kredinor did NOT send an SMS notification this weekend and reported it to the police.

Throughout Saturday, Kredinor received a series of inquiries from people who had received an SMS requesting payment via a link. The inquiries that came in indicate that the SMS was sent to a random sample of people. These are both persons entitled to payment and persons who have never been sent from Kredinor before.

It therefore indicates that this is a scam attempt sent to a larger and random sample of people with the suggestion that they should go to the link in the message. The page linked in the SMS takes you to a page where you can log in with BankID. Information about phone number, number is required social security and bank or card details credit.

The requested information goes to the scammers

It is very unfortunate that the requested information goes to unauthorized persons, which in this case are scammers who intentionally sent an SMS to obtain this information. Although Kredinor reported this to the police, it still cannot be ruled out that new fraud attempts are being made.

It is very important that suspicious text messages are carefully checked. A suspicious SMS may be a message that is sent, for example, late at night. Another suspicious situation is when people do not have an unpaid claim related to Kredinor or other debt collection companies. Then the receipt of such an SMS should be alarming.

Anyone who has a business with Kredinor can find it by logging in through www.kredinor.no with the help of BankID. If there is a complaint in Kredinora, it will be available under the case overview on "My Page". This is true for everyone.
