The man found dead on Sunday on Gjersjøen in Nordre Follo died of hypothermia. This is indicated by the preliminary autopsy report.
This was reported by the eastern police district in a press release on Wednesday.
- On Tuesday, the police received a preliminary autopsy report. He confirms that the death was caused by the body being cooled down, police inspector Lars Reinholdt-Østbye of the Eastern Police District said in a press release.
The police also say that the deceased is Polish. He has not yet been formally identified, but relatives in his home country have been notified via Kripos.
“It still seems to be an accident in all likelihood, and we have no evidence that the cause of death was anything other than unfortunate circumstances. There is no suspicion that other people are to blame for the deaths, says Reinholdt-Østbye.
He adds that an investigation is still ongoing in the house where the man was staying.
- We hope that it will be completed in a short time - says the police inspector
