- The business community plays a key role in further developing Norway's leadership in the seafood and shipping industry. In this way, we create new and secure existing jobs for the future, says Bjørnar Selnes Skjæran (Labor Party), Minister of Fisheries and Maritime Affairs.
According to Skjæran, the projects that receive funding offer great opportunities for green transformation, digitization and the improvement of the maritime industry and sustainable seafood production. There are companies from all over the coast behind the projects.
One of the projects that receives support is Under Restaurant in Lindesnes, which receives NOK 6 million. The money will be used to develop a completely new solution for the long-term storage of live seafood.
In Hammerfest, Forsøljenta receives a 6 from the Research Council millions NOK for catching and breeding small crabs in the Kvalfjord.
Bergensrederiet Kristian Gerhard Jebsen Skipsrederi AS receives 5 million for a combination of zero emission technologies and ship simulation models and weather routes to save energy and reduce emissions.
