America's Got Talent Nightbirde dies at the age of 31.
"We, her family, are devastated by an unimaginable loss," the family said in a statement released by NBC. Jane struggled with cancer for four years and died on February 19.
The singer caught the attention of a lot of people after she gave an amazing performance on America's Got Talent last year, performing the original song “It's OK”. During her performance, she revealed to the judges that she is battling a cancer that has spread to her lungs, spine and liver. She impressed Judge Simon Cowell with her positivity and determination.
"You can't wait for life to get difficult before you decide to be happy," she told the judges.
She said, "I'm overwhelmed by the reaction to It's OK."
In the AGT statement to CNN, “Your voice, story, and message have influenced millions. Nightbirde will always be a member of the AGT family. It made a huge impact on the program and the world as a whole. Her determination to fight this terrible disease was remarkable. Rest in peace, Jane.
In her statement, her family added that those who knew Jane Marczewski "enjoyed her extraordinary personality and sense of humor."
Her family added, "She had a funny joke every time - even if the joke was about her." “Her lasting legacy will be the gift of hope that she has given to so many through her music and the strength she has found in Jesus. Thank you to everyone for sending love and support.
