Man accused of killing two women in Kristiansand

Agder Police District opened a murder investigation after two women were killed in violence in Søm in Kristiansand on Monday afternoon. At a press conference at the Kristiansand police station at 18.00 p.m. on Monday evening, Agder police said they had been notified of a serious incident of violence on Monday at 13.20 p.m. The situation took place at a private address in Søm, Kristiansand. After the message arrived, large funds from the police and other emergency services moved to this address.

When the police and emergency services arrived at the scene, two seriously injured people were found at this address. Both people were taken to the emergency room at Sørlandet Hospital in Kristiansand.

- Shortly after 14.00 p.m. the police were informed by the hospital that both people had been presumed dead shortly after arriving at the emergency room. Both victims are adult women, says Agder police attorney Bernt Olav Bryge.

One person was arrested by the police in connection with the incident. An arrested man in his XNUMXs is currently charged with the murder of two people. The person concerned reported himself to the Kristiansand Police.

- The police can confirm that there is a connection between the accused and the victim. Police are currently unwilling to provide more details on this, says Bryge.

Victims and bereaved will receive legal aid

The accused and two victims are of Syrian origin. The police have already initiated technical operations that will last throughout the evening. The police will interview witnesses and will also try to obtain the opportunity to interview the accused. Nils Anders Grønås was appointed defense attorney for the accused. An appointment will be made for the injured and the bereaved lawyer and assistance provided legal.
