When you will receive money from Nav in December - and the money will be credited to your account - depends primarily on what benefit you receive.

Christmas is fast approaching and with it all the festive preparations: It's good to know when the money from Nav will arrive, if you are retired, disabled or in receipt of sick pay, for example.

Here's an overview of when you can expect payments from Nav in December. At the same time, Nav points out that these are payment dates in which Nav guarantees that the money will be on the account - the money may arrive a few days earlier.

This applies, among others, to the following benefits:

  • Pension
  • AAP
  • Contract Pension (AFP)
  • Survivor's pension
  • Basic allowance
  • Assistance Allowance
  • War pension
  • Compensation for an accident at work or an occupational disease
  • Transition Allowance
  • Supplementary benefit for people over 67 years of age life with a short period of residence in Norway
  • Disability Allowance
  • Benefits for former family carers

Payment depends on when you apply

For some There is no common payment date for benefits, which would apply to everyone, but on the other hand, the payment date depends on when you apply. This applies to both sickness benefits and, for example, end-of-life care benefits:

For both benefits, payment is made on December 12 if your claim is approved before December 6. Nav informs that applications that will be considered after December 6 will be paid within 5 days.

When does payment from Nav arrive?

Social Welfare Financial Assistance is a local service, so the timing of payment may vary from municipality to municipality.
