We inspire creativity in our school! We combine science, passions and interests!
Did you know that you can learn Polish by building volcanoes, looking for traces on stones or taking a virtual trip to Wieliczka?
Did you know that art classes are also Polish history, geography?
Or maybe put grammar in a puzzle?
Thanks!
In our school, classes are not only about working with a textbook and a workbook! It's absolutely not just books and paper!
Are we learning?
YEAH! We encourage, we mobilize, we awaken creativity!
Classes at the Polish community school are classes on Saturdays! On Saturdays, which are an extra school day for our Students... and for us! It's getting up early! We know that and appreciate it very much!
Therefore, it's much more complicated!
We do everything to make classes interesting and inspiring. It is a great value when students are so eager to participate in classes and they enjoy learning!
And this is how the art exhibition "Polish Cities" was created at the end of the 2022 school year, on which students worked all semester! In this way, they learned about the location of Poland on the map of Europe and the world, discussed the administrative division, regions in Poland, the climate of Poland, and learned about the traditions and monuments of cities. In addition, many beautiful works of art were created, from decoupage to posters, graphics, collages, magnets and pendants.
Kindergarten groups, both our smallest Bees and Owls from Kindergarten, are groups where we observe growing joy and willingness! Children create, read, exercise, make art, build, walk and observe, ...! Engagement and curiosity are huge!
Grade 1-2 is of course learning to read and write!
We also get to know the culture and history of Poland! We exercise, we read in a division into roles, and we sometimes run on dictation! Yes! We create creative letters, colorful mascots and graphics! We learn cooperation and build internal motivation!
Polish language classes are also, for example, recently organized in class 3 Ptasie Radio! We get to know the text and its various interpretations, we develop the skills of interpreting a literary text, we get to know a Polish poet, but also ...
we create birds/puppets and record! We practice phonetics! We develop theatrical imagination by working with voice intonation, gesture, prop!
Grammar is also a puzzle! Can you see the relationship? In one of the last classes, class 5 celebrated Puzzle Day by practicing parts of speech with them! The students worked with great enthusiasm!
A pink lesson in grade 7? Getting to know Tadeusz Różewicz! Or maybe a trip to Wieliczka, in the glow of a salt lamp? Phrasal verbs? Let's draw it! A lot of inspiration!
Finally, homework hidden in a QR code? drawing? interview? an audiobook?
Replace "I have to" with "I want to"!
