Due to the ongoing investigation following the overdose death in Halden, we have seized pills that we want to warn against. The pill corresponds to the description given by witnesses of the event that took place over the weekend, writes the Norwegian police in its press release.
The tablets are small and off-white, approximately 9 mm in diameter and have uneven/jagged edges. The tablets are not stamped or embossed, are not scored and are not packaged in blisters. The police therefore assume that the pills were not produced legally and professionally. These pills are probably sold as Xanax.
The police are waiting for a response to the tests that would show what active substance the tablets contain and are warning, taking into account the potential danger.
On Saturday, September 23, three unconscious people were found in Halden. One person was confirmed dead on site, two people were transported to Kalnes. The police warn against possible dangerous drugs on the market.
The investigation is still in its early stages and we emphasize that there are no final conclusions yet.
Nevertheless, the hypothesis of an overdose after taking the pills was strengthened. For this reason, we want to caution you against taking pills that appear to be illegally manufactured, introduced and/or distributed. An indication of this may be the fact that the tablets are not sold in blister packs but loosely. They are also produced in a way that gives them a more irregular shape and consistency.
