As we read in the press release of the Polish Ski Association, strong wind prevented the jumpers from competing in yesterday's competition.
The Polish Ski Jumping World Cup Tournament ran as planned. However, the competition in Szczyrk could not be held because after exactly 40 jumps in the scoring series, the jury stopped the competition due to unfavorable wind conditions. He was the leader at that moment David Kubacki.
Both of my jumps were very nice
– I encountered a strong gust from the side of the hill, which hindered me a bit, but in the end I managed to control the situation and even land with a telemark. Both of my jumps were very nice, so the way I'm going is good. I am dissatisfied because I would have achieved the best result of the season with one series, but health is the most important thing - analyzed the best Polish team representative, Dawid Kubacki.
I wanted to do my own thing
– I didn't feel threatened in such conditions, even though it was a lottery. I wanted to do my job and make the best jump possible. I concentrated and did my job well, he said Kamil Stoch.
My conditions were just fine
– Wind is an additional element that sometimes helps and sometimes hinders. My conditions were just fine. The only drawback is that my legs were a bit "numb" at the top, but I managed to deal with that, emphasized Piotr Żyła.
