This applies in particular to the garbage collection fee, which was increased by 48%, among others. due to improved waste sorting. The background to this situation is explained in a separate section article on changes to the waste collection fee for 2024, which can be read on the Trondheim Renholdsverk website.

The payment deadline is April 15

The invoice for the first quarter of 2024 will be issued on March 20, the payment deadline is April 15. We ask all invoice recipients to be aware of the upcoming fee increase and to prepare for a higher amount to be paid than in previous years. We also encourage you to visit the Trondheim Municipality website for further information on the fee basis. Here you will also find contact details of the units constituting the basis for calculating municipal real estate taxes.

Municipal real estate taxes are based on the cost price principle. This means that the costs of providing services must be covered by those using these services. The municipality of Trondheim is not able to co-finance these services from funds from other areas. Neither is there possibility of transferring income from fees for other purposes.
