On May 1, musicians from all over Norway, including guests from Poland, will form a wonderful orchestra and meet at the unique "Thanks Jimi Festival". This extraordinary musical event unites young and adult musicians, local bands, professionals and amateurs into one unique festival orchestra.

What sets this festival apart from others? It is a fact that Norwegian youth will perform not only songs by their idols, such as Jimi Hendrix, Marius Müller, Dum Dum Boys or Led Zeppelin, but also Polish hits, including Perfekt, Tadeusz Nalepa and many other artists. The stage will belong to everyone - from beginners to experienced musicians. We also know that our Polish musicians will take part in the festival, many of them not for the first time.

We have great pleasure in inviting you for the 14th time to the Norwegian-Polish version "Thanks Jimi Festival" – May 1, 2024 at 16.00:XNUMX p.m. - Kolbenkulturhus in Kolbotn / Nordre Follo Kommune. Admission is free.
The originator of the festival is Leszek Cichonski - an outstanding Polish guitarist (Guinness record of 2023 in Wrocław, where 7967 guitarists played the song "Hey Joe" together

The festival orchestra has been meeting regularly since January. This is where contacts are made and where their own versions of famous songs are created. The goal is not only to "play covers" but also to make spontaneous music, improvising on the verge of a happening.
– Communication and interaction are the main and unique aspect of this festival. After all, we are talking about an orchestra of about 60 people, says the head of the band, Miroslaw "Carlos" Kaczmarczyk.
The organizer invites Polish musicians to participate in the festival.
