Chang'e 4's Chinese Moon landing

The second day of the new year will go down in history as a great event in cosmonautics. On Tuesday, on the moon, at a place that had never before been explored by any human, it took place Chinese landing Chang'e 4 space probe. As the Chinese space agency is known for not boasting or over-reporting on its missions until they are successful, the information about sending the probe circulated the world a few days after its launch. Before Chang'e 4 landed on the moon, his journey took almost a month. The probe landed on an unknown part of the Silver Globe on Tuesday at 10:26 local time.

Chinese space power

Tuesday Chinese landing probes in the hitherto unknown territory of the Silver Globe, is a sign of China's great ambition to become a space power. Despite the fact that two days ago, the whole world circulated great information that will definitely go down in history as something special, China is already planning another mission. In 2020, another launch is to take place, a new probe, which will also fly to the moon. Her task will be to return with samples of the Moon for further study. If this mission is successful, China will be the third country to bring something from the Moon to Earth and the second to do it with robots.

What is the purpose of the mission?

The main goal of the Chinese mission is to study the mineral composition and surface of the Moon on a site that has never been studied before. However, one more important mission of Chang'e 4 should be mentioned, which is the attempt to create own ecosystem. The probe holds potato seeds, radishes and silkworm eggs. The space agency scientists want to see if life on the moon will be able to develop on its own.

Small Faux Pas

On the day of the historic Chinese landing of the Chang'e 4 probe on the Moon, there was certainly thunderous applause and shouts of joy at CNSA in the evening. It turns out, however, that before this happened, certain media such as "China Daily" and "China Global Televison" rushed to report this information by an hour! In social media, the above-mentioned Posts appeared in the media informing about the historic landing of the probe, which were removed very quickly. The whole situation caused quite a confusion because many people asked if the probe actually landed on the Silver Globe.
