Yesterday evening there was a shooting in one of the districts of Oslo - Sagene. Police officers received many reports from residents about the disturbing incident. The patrol arrived immediately and the police confirmed that shots had been fired there. Two men who fled the scene were also arrested.
Restless again on the streets of Oslo
Police in Oslo received reports from several people about shots fired on Arendalsgata and Grimstadgata streets around 18:37 p.m. Officers who arrived at the scene found numerous empty bullet casings. They also noticed a group of men running away. Two were arrested on suspicion of involvement in the shooting. Currently, investigators are unable to say who shot whom and what their motives were. It is also unclear whether the incident was related to the activities of gangs operating in Oslo.

Nobody was hurt
As the coordinator of the action Gjermund Stokkli confirmed in an interview with NRK.no, no one was hurt as a result of the shooting. Also, no traces of blood were found at the scene. A helicopter flew over the entire district, looking for other perpetrators. A car was also found, bringing five people to the shooting site. According to Gjermund Stokkli, it has been possible to establish who the suspects are and will soon be detained for questioning.

Shooting three days after the security summit
As reported by the portal TwójNorwegia.no, on August 21, a summit of security services was held in the capital of Norway. It was convened by the Attorney General - Tor-Axel Busch. During the meeting, he expressed his concern about the increasing crime in Oslo and the fact that the police are failing to deal with these cases. According to the prosecutor's report, the gangs in the capital city are becoming better organized and engage in activities such as drug trafficking, kidnapping, acts of violence and extortion of money. Shortly after this meeting, we have the opportunity to find out whether the arrangements made during the meeting will translate into higher effectiveness of the work of police officers.
