The digitization of the amendment to the Road Traffic Act introduces changes to the regulations. From October 1, you will be able to drive without a registration certificate and civil liability insurance policy, but still with a driving license.
Control and new regulations
Until now, at the time of inspection, we were obliged to have all the necessary documents with us, such as a driving license, registration certificate and third party liability insurance. From October 1, we will be obliged to show our driving license, and the other two documents can be left at home. The Ministry of Digitization emphasizes that at the moment road inspection, the relevant services will be able to check the data they need to perform the inspection in the Central Register of Vehicles and Drivers (CEPiK).

What if I do not have a technical examination?
So far, it was the case that if during the inspection it turned out that our vehicle did not have a current one technical examination, our registration certificate was taken away, we received a ticket and we were obliged to immediately carry out up-to-date vehicle inspections. Currently if vehicle inspection shows a deficiency current examination or services determine that it is not suitable for driving, such information will be marked in the system, and the method of detaining the document does not change, it will simply be a virtual detention - as the sub-inspector himself says. What in the event of a collision and missing documents?
Please remember that road traffic law imposes an obligation on us exchange personal data at the time of the collision. What if he doesn't have liability insurance? Well, we have to get used to the new system, because all we need to do is enter the registration numbers on the Insurance Guarantee Fund website and we will receive all the data we need there.

The registration certificate does not change the value
However, the new law allowing us not to have a registration certificate does not change its value. Well, we will still need the registration certificate to complete all formalities such as a visit to the Vehicle Inspection Station, car sales or going abroad.
