Will sales of electric cars in Norway increase?

Sales of electric cars in Norway may reach 78 units in the next 12 months. If the predictions included in the report are reflected in reality, another record will probably be broken. The electrician industry has never grown so fast.

"Norwegians are ready for an electric car"

As Christina Bu, Secretary General of the European Association, admits Electric Cars – Norwegians are ready to give up cars powered by conventional fuels in favor of electric cars. “In this perspective, the Norwegian authorities face the challenge of ensuring an adequate number of charging stations for electric vehicles. This is a task that will encourage Norwegians to buy e-balls even more often " - adds Christina Bu.

Barriers to buying

The above-mentioned report also points to barriers that prevent some Norwegians from considering purchasing an electric car in the near future. The most important of them are:

  • insufficient ranges of "electricians" (60% of indications);
  • waiting for further technology development (34% of responses);
  • experience of problems with charging cars while traveling (31% of responses);
  • the belief that electric cars are not more environmentally friendly than conventional vehicles (30% of responses);
  • fear of problems resulting from the use of ebili in winter (27% of responses);
  • uncertainty in battery life (26% of indications).

Electric car sales in Norway - arguments for

The report also includes arguments that convince Norwegians to buy e-balls. The most important of them are:

  • free / lower tariffs boomer (33% of responses);
  • lower operating costs (30% of responses);
  • exemption from annual fee/road traffic tax (29% of responses);
  • possibility of purchase without VAT (27% of indications).

100% "electricians" by 2025

As Christina Bu emphasizes, efforts are being made to achieve this by 2025 Norwegian roads cars that use conventional fuels did not move at all. Therefore, in her opinion, the Norwegian government should maintain the existing benefits if the sales of electric cars in Norway are to continue to grow.
