However, they need new hands to work to meet the challenges ahead.
“We must prepare for development”
As Elisabet Sandnes, director of strategic planning, said in an interview with Nettavisen, Tomra has to prepare for the upcoming challenges. For this purpose, it is necessary to take actions aimed at changing the structure of the organization, as well as increasing the level of employment. In her opinion, the stupidest thing they can do is not recruit new employees in the next few years.
Up to 2000 new employees
Tomra plans to increase employment in the range of 1000 to even 2000 people in the next few years. According to the press release, the management is not blown away. They have already started recruitment activities and are looking for new employees. There are 50 vacancies at Tomra's headquarters in Asker. In addition, they intend to employ hundreds of people in the United States, as well as in the emerging markets of Australia and the United Kingdom.

Expansion as a result of changes to the law
The expansion of the enterprise into new markets is possible as a result of changes in the law in some countries. The UK is preparing to increase recycling and thus to develop a network of check-machines. The situation is similar in Australia, but in the case of this country some regions have already implemented recycling solutions.
The European Union's announcements are also important. It is announced that solutions will be implemented that will guarantee returns plastic bottles at the level of 90% throughout the European Community. This goal is to be achieved already in 2025.

Currently, the return machines from Tomra are present in 60 countries. It is estimated that there are 110 people worldwide. return machines, of which 82 thousand. belongs to a Norwegian company.
