The first day of the V Polske filmdager festival is behind us. On October 6, there was a concert of film music that added color to the works of director Krzysztof Kieślowski. The musical part was preceded by a show of the production "Three Colors. Red." and a discussion panel.
XNUMXth Poland filmdager
As we have already written on the pages of our portal, the first day of the 5th Polish Filmdager was devoted to the art of film and the accompanying music. For this purpose, the "Veronica synger!" concert was organized. The audience had the opportunity to enjoy music performed by:
- Barbara Hortyńska (piano),
- Kamila Goik (vocals).
We recorded a fragment of the concert especially for you during the rehearsals. Kamila Goik presented a great vibrato and was accompanied by Barbara Hortyńska. You can get acquainted with the trial execution both on our fanpage, as in this article - you can find the video below.
A unique meeting with the Polish diaspora
“Polish artists are extremely busy,” said Magdalena Tutka-Gwóźdź in an interview with Radio Wataha. “They have plenty of great arenas in Poland where they can perform. I think that such meetings between Polish artists and the Polish community are something very unique, warm and unforgettable. Both for artists and for the audience," she added.

On the occasion of the 5th Polish Filmdager, the artists prepared a repertoire dedicated to the film music that decorated the works of Krzysztof Kieślowski. The songs were originally composed mainly by Zbigniew Preisner, but not only. All of them were complemented by amazing productions, such as: "Three Colors", "Dekalog" or "The Double Life of Weronika".
Artists about their stay in Norway
“First of all, I would like to thank you for the invitation,” said Kamila Goik, “I feel very good here, although it is actually a bit cold here, which - as we know - is a hindrance for singers. First of all, I am very happy that I could perform for Polonia," she adds.

“I also thank you very much for the invitation,” said Barbara Hortyńska. “As we agreed today with Ms. Magdalena Tutka-Gwóźdź, I will be asking for more opportunities to come to Norway. I like the country very much, I feel fantastic here. I like the mountains, I like the sea, and I even like the fish," she concluded with a smile.
The artists agreed that their repertoire for the XNUMXth filmdager did not focus solely on the works of Zbigniew Preisner. They also presented, among others Wojciech Kilar's film music. A piece dedicated to Polska filmdager was also prepared. One of Barbara Hortyńska's students - the composer - wrote it on the occasion of the fifth anniversary of the Festival.
