. On Thursday, June 24, Norway will be part of the EU's coronavirus certificate solution. This was announced by the government in a press release on Wednesday afternoon.

People who have been fully vaccinated or have had COVID-19 disease in the last six months and have a valid certificate can enter Norway in this way. They avoid quarantine, test requirements, and entry registration.

Currently, this applies to the following countries: Austria, Bulgaria, Belgium, Cyprus, Germany, Estonia, Finland, France, Croatia, Iceland, Polish and Latvia. However, it depends on these countries actually using the certificate and issuing it to their citizens, the government writes.

From July 1, European countries that are connected to the EU solution will be able to verify the Norwegian certificate at their borders.

– Thanks to fast, efficient and good European cooperation, we already have a solution regarding the coronavirus certificate on Thursday, June 24.06. It will be able to significantly facilitate travel for people who have been fully vaccinated or have had COVID-19. This will mean a lot to both individuals and important places work in the tourism industry in Norway. This is the Minister of Health and Healthcare, Bent Høie.

Use of the certificate in other countries

On July 1, EU coronavirus certificates enter into force. Most of the EU / EEA countries will then be connected to the EU solution and will be able to verify Norway's certificate at the border.

This applies, inter alia, to Spain, Italy, Greece and Croatia, the government writes.

- People who choose to travel must be familiar with the quarantine rules, testing and infection control requirements for the country they are going to. This will vary from country to country, says Høie.

. Non-digital users

- We now have a certified solution for those who cannot use a computer, mobile phone or tablet. From tomorrow, they can call the coronavirus hotline and receive a certificate by mail. We still want as many people as possible to use the digital solution on helsenorge.no and possibly print the certificate at home, says Health Minister Bent Høie.
