The Norwegian Directorate of Health answers your questions

The new certificate exempts some people from entry quarantine and from 25 weeks it can be used at the most important events in Norway. Get answers to your questions here.

From Friday 11 June, Norwegian residents traveling to Norway may be released from the entry quarantine. The condition is: if they have been fully vaccinated or have had Covid-19 in the last six months.

The vaccine or the positive test result can now be documented with the newly introduced Norwegian Coronavirus Certificate, which can be found on helsenorge.no. Those who meet the requirements receive a certificate.

coronavirus certification questionsBut what is really required to be considered fully vaccinated?

Anyone who has received the second dose of the vaccine at least a week ago, he is fully vaccinated.

If you tested positive for COVID-19 according to an approved laboratory method and you then received one dose of vaccine at least three weeks after the test date, you are considered fully vaccinated. It must have been at least a week since the vaccination.

If you received a single dose of the vaccine, then you got positive test result for Covid-19 according to an approved laboratory method at least three weeks after vaccination, also considered fully vaccinated. Admittedly, once your isolation is completed due to infection, you are considered fully vaccinated.

The Norwegian Health Directorate replies today from 16pm, but you can submit your questions now.

From the 25th week, the certificate can be used at the most important events in Norway. Here, a negative test gives you the same rights as with full vaccination. Remember that a negative test only gives you a certificate valid for 24 hours.

The Norwegian Health Directorate also continues to advise against going abroad. It is currently under consideration as to whether it should be opened for European travel in July. Until then, the certificate will also not be valid for travel in Europe.

Important with correct information

It is very important to you that your certificate contains correct information. For everyone who will use it in the near future.

If your details do not match, you risk being stopped when entering, for example, a football match or concert.

Therefore, we encourage everyone to visit helsenorge.no and check the information on their own coronavirus certificate.

What is included in the coronavirus certificate

The certificate version that is available to Norwegian residents now includes the following:

Status vaccinations: The certificate will include all Covid-19 vaccines that have been made or registered in Norway.

Coronavirus negative test: Negative test result from PCR or test antigenic will be displayed if the test has been performed within the last seven days and no positive test results have been recorded in the same period.

• Immunity after COVID-19 disease in the last six months: If you are protected after your illness, you will see the results of a PCR test or an antigen test registered in Norway, when the result was positive. If the test result is positive again more than three months after the first test, the new test result will be displayed.

The certificate can be viewed digitally, downloaded or printed. We are also working on a solution for non-digital users.
