Østfoldbanen fatal accident at Fredrikstad

The Østfold railway line between Fredrikstad and Sarpsborg is closed after a train hit a man fatally on Monday night.

The police confirm Fredriksstad Blad that the person hit by the train in Rolvsøy in Fredrikstad is dead.

The train stopped in Hauge and was evacuated. According to the newspaper, passengers will be transported on by bus.

It is not known how the accident happened, but the incident causes trains on the Østfold line to stop running.
