Success, which contributed to a record number of applicants for customs studies, strong personalities and exciting assignments, is back in the new season. In the third season "Toll" we get an insight into new locations, as well as known and new personalities.

- Now we are looking forward to show even more who we are, our competences and the scope of tasks in which we are. We thank all the good and committed employees who contribute directly and indirectly to this storytelling. Without them, we wouldn't have been so successful, says Elisabeth Nedresæter, TV series project manager at Customs.

New locations and new insights

“Toll” has become a unique series that gives Norwegians have a fantastic insight into everyday life on the border. In which they enter unknown and risky territory to make Norway safer. This year's season will see them in action as the country gradually reopens, giving the film crew the opportunity to explore new places as well.

There are many locations now. From last season, you can recognize the airport in Oslo and the borders of Svinesund. In season 3, we meet new customs officers at border crossings such as Flisa, Ørje and Helligskogen / Kilpisjärvi. In addition, we get to know the customs officers in Alnabru, Lørenskog, Torp, Svinesund, Magnormoen, Tromsø, the Customs Laboratory and the intelligence department better. Have the pandemic and all restrictions reduced smuggling, or have smugglers now found other ways to act?

The most popular education in Norway

It's no secret that seasons 1 and 2 of "Toll" attracted a lot of Norwegian viewers. On average, as many as 655 viewers have watched two seasons so far.

"Toll" has become one of the biggest TV 2 programs in the "reality in the workplace" category. The public interest in the mission of the Customs Service is high, which has contributed, inter alia, to to the exorbitant number of candidates for new education in this profession. “We also received confirmation that the series is inspiring when the results of applying for higher education were announced earlier this year. Our recent Undergraduate Customs program was ranked second among the most popular studies in Norway and is now the study with the most applicants for a place of study, »says Customs Communications Director Kim Gulbrandsen.

Beyond all expectations

- We proudly present the new season "Toll". The first seasons exceeded all expectations and the series created great engagement with very high grades. Customs officers moved from a working group about which we know little. So well known that the profession of customs officer has now become the most popular education in Norway. TV 2 is proud of Customs and we are looking forward to a new season with new locations, familiar characters as well as some challenging and exciting tasks, says program editor Kathrine Haldorsen at TV 2.

The premiere of the third season of "Toll" on TV 2 Zebra and TV 2 Play on Monday 25 October.
