The training games market is developing dynamically. Modern learning games are very similar to ordinary entertainment, and knowledge is transferred along the way. The creators focus on an interesting story and intrigue, and also pay attention to graphics. Educational games are becoming an interesting alternative to regular training, using elements of gamification. Employers are able to assess employees' progress and identify their strengths. By 2021, the learning games market is expected to more than double compared to 2017.

– Educational games still lag behind entertainment games. The entertainment games market is huge, it is developing very well, there are a lot of specialists and money in this business. The market for training and educational games is still in its infancy, but in our products We try to get as close to the entertainment market as possible in terms of form. We try to make these games attractive, have nice graphics and at the same time convey valuable knowledge - emphasizes Jakub Ryfa, project manager of DOJI - Educational Innovations, in an interview with the Newseria Innowacje agency.
Profitable business
Newzoo estimates show that in 2017, 2,2 mld players will generate gaming revenues of almost $109 billion. Already in 2016, the value of the global computer games market exceeded USD 100 billion. The Industrial Development Agency estimates that the gaming market in Poland worth it is approximately PLN 1,8 billion. Just a year earlier it was PLN 1,5 billion. Entertainment games dominate, although and these often have educational and cognitive values, especially for the youngest.
– There are plenty of games on the market that teach and we don't realize it, e.g. strategy games will help us realize what the historical and geopolitical situation was like in given period, there are whole series of games that teach history, geography, politics. There are also games that were created as entertainment and then found a typical educational use for them - explains Jakub Ryfa.
Learning games
They appear on the market more and more often learning games are also available. Ambient Report Insight indicates that this sector will grow at a rate of over 20% over the next five years. annually and by 2022 it will reach USD 8,1 billion. This means that compared to 2017 ($3,2 billion), it will more than double. Educational games don't just teach languages aliens or history, but they may also prove useful in learning how to run a business.
