Many of us are avid fans of winter sports. One of the most popular sports is ski jumping.
The qualification for the 66th XNUMX-Hills-Tournament begins today.
TCS is one of the most interesting and at the same time the most difficult competition of the season.
It is the competition in Oberstdorf that will decide which jumpers will proceed to the next championship competition.
Poland will be represented by 6 jumpers Kamil Stoch, Piotr Żyła, Maciej Kot, Stefan Hula, Dawid Kubacki and Jakub Wolny.
How will the 2017/2018 season start for our compatriots?
Apart from two Polish jumpers, who are the leaders among Polish players, i.e. Kamil Stoch, who defends the title in the tournament
and Piotr Żyła, who is defending the second place, we have foreign favorites.
A strong German player is Richard Freitag, the leader of the World Cup and Andreas Wellinger, Austrian Stefan Kraft.
The Norwegians also have a strong group of players, including Daniel Andre Tande, Johann Andre Forfang, Anders Fannemel and Robert Johansson.
There are many favorites, and who will be the winner?
A total of 67 jumpers were entered for training and qualifying.
The 50 best-ranked jumpers who will traditionally form 25 pairs in the first series will qualify for Saturday's competition.
Certainly, Polish fans hope that their compatriots will be spoken of the loudest again.
All jumpers, even those from the top ten in the World Cup, must qualify for the four competitions.
Thus, the strongest players will not be treated relieved and in order to triumph in the competition they have to make 12 good jumps.
The construction point of the facility in Oberstdorf is located at 120 meters. The safety distance is 137 meters,
and the hill record holder - from December 29, 2003 - is the Norwegian Sigurd Pettersen (143,5 meters).
