Beloved Fat Thursday, that is the last Thursday before Lent in just a week. Fat Thursday is February 24 this year.

As the old proverb says:  Bartek said that today is a fat Thursday, and Bartek believed, she fried good donuts. According to one superstition, if we do not eat at least one donut on that day, we will not be successful later in the year. On this day, overeating is allowed!

And when it's Fat Thursday in Norway, there are only donuts from Józek Polish BAZA grocery store in Moss. Mr. Józef offers delicious ones Doughnuts with marmalade, each weighs 120-140 grams and costs only 20 crowns. The store was located in Moss at:

Øreåsveien 26 1528 Moss Telephone number 455 89 336

Polish grocery store BASE

The store offers not only donuts, but has to choice lots of Polish articles and offers fresh products straight from Poland. The baked goods offered by the BAZA store are based on traditional ones recipes and are baked on site in the store. So you can have warm, fragrant bread and cakes every day. And they taste... Mmm… Finger lickin' good!

We are not afraid of consuming donuts, despite their calorific value. After all, we're about to fast for 40 days, so we'll burn everything.

I have read from certain sources that the average Pole eats 2,5 donuts on this day. I don't know what you think about it, I think we eat much more. Donuts taste the same and are a symbol of Fat Thursday.

We invite those who do not like baking them to BAZA Polish Store in Moss for delicious homemade donuts!

We in Radio Wataha we go to Joseph's shop and on that day we only consume his donuts.

Ahhh… just until Thursday!
