For Polish high school graduates, the May weekend was extremely hot. On May 4, the Polish matriculation examination was held. During which the graduate students - apart from the test part - could choose between two forms of written work. After the weekend of most of this year's high school graduates over textbooks, on May 7 they faced the queen of sciences - mathematics. May 8, English language test. The next day, on May 9, there was an exam in mathematics at the advanced level. As there are more and more voices of disbelief on the Internet about its level of difficulty, we can presume that it caused the students quite a few problems.
Before high school graduates, there are still exams in biology and art history (10.05/11.05), social studies and computer science (14.05/16.05), physics and astronomy, geography (22/XNUMX), history and chemistry (XNUMX/XNUMX) or foreign languages, which will be held until XNUMX. May.
The tragedy in the Zofiówka mine
The rescue operation at the Ruch Zofiówka mine in Jastrzębie-Zdrój has already been underway for the fifth day. Saturday's shock resulted in the trapping of seven miners underground. Although two of them were quickly hospitalized, two others were recovered. The search for the three remaining miners is still ongoing. The efficient conduct of the rescue operation is prevented by the high concentration of methane in the underground. According to the president of JSW, all hope is in the pipelines used to supply compressed air.
On May 9.05, a special commission was appointed to determine the cause of the accident and to clarify any questionable aspects. Proceedings in the case of the accident are also conducted by the prosecutor's office in Gliwice, which will determine whether the works were carried out in accordance with the recommendations and documentation of the mining plant operation plan.
Chocolate disaster on A2
On May 9, in the morning in the town of Graboszewo in the Greater Poland Voivodeship, a cistern carrying liquid chocolate collapsed, and a tanker carrying liquid chocolate collapsed. About twelve tons of chocolate spilled on the asphalt, which, solidifying, prevented the traffic from both sides. The driver suffered non-life threatening injuries and the route in both directions was blocked for hours, resulting in huge traffic jams. It is not surprising that foreign media such as The New York Times or the Daily Mail write about this unusual accident. Now no one will deny that Poland is a land of prosperity (flowing chocolate).
