Tomasz Czapkiewicz is the president of Skynamo. During the 2nd International Energy and Environment Forum, he shared revolutionary information. He announced that it should be ready by the end of this year first Polish a vehicle that flies up to several meters above the ground. Avoid traffic jams
During his speech, the revolutionary nature of this invention was argued primarily by the possibility of avoiding traffic jams. He pointed out that there is a large gap between cars moving on land and airplanes flying at high altitudes. Hoverbike Raptor is to be able to rise to a height of several meters. So that he can move over buildings and trees. This is to help avoid traffic jams.
Model presentation
During the 70nd International Environment and Energy Forum in Zakopane, Skynamo presented a miniature model of the target vehicle. As already mentioned, it is to be able to hover from several to several meters above the ground. The maximum speed it will be able to achieve is assumed to be around 80-1300 km per hour. The Hoverbike Raptor will be powered by an engine from the Suzuki Hayabusa motorcycle. It has a capacity of 360 cubic centimeters and a power of 1520 horsepower. It sets in motion two main propellers with a diameter of XNUMX mm. It also powers auxiliary engines used to stabilize flight. Full fuel tank should be enough for approximately 50 minutes of work.
Price
Tested model on otherwise it will not be intended for production serial. This will significantly affect its cost. The purchase of one such vehicle will be around the limit several hundred thousand zlotys for one copy. As the president of Skynamo himself admits, this will not be a vehicle for the average person. Even if it is implemented into mass production.
Noise
The vehicle prototype will generate a lot of noise. All thanks to the work of the propellers and the engine. However, as Tomasz Czapkiewicz assures - the noise level will be possible to reduce if the technology of electric motors and batteries is developed.
Financed by European Funds
The construction of the prototype is financed from European sources. The research and development project is carried out as part of funding granted by the Polish National Research Center and Development.
Other models are also planned
The Hoverbike Raptor prototype will enable travel only one person. However, solutions are also planned that will increase the transport capacity more passengers. Vehicles are also being designed that will be used in the transport of goods. However, they will only be used in practice when the Civil Aviation Office determines the rules for using the Hoverbike Raptor and completes its certification process.

Vehicles that will be able to hover several meters above the ground have been talked about for a long time. However, only the modern development of technology makes it possible to make these dreams come true. Hoverbike Raptor is to be the first engine of this type that will be intended to meet both civilian and government needs. The prototype is scheduled to premiere at the end of this year. The project received funding from the National Center Research and Development, is implemented by Skynamo. Tomasz Czapkiewicz - president of this company - clearly defines the future target group.
