Will there be a World Cup in Oslo?

Guest of Wataha Live! there was Michał Przybylski from Love Dance Help, co-organizer of the "World Cup" tournament in Oslo. This is a charity football tournament. As the guy himself says Radio Wataha – almost anyone can take part in it. The event will take place on the grass fields at Ekebergveien 101 in Oslo.

Where did the idea come from?

The Radio Wataha guest emphasizes that he is passionate about football. He also noticed that in the same There are many teams in Oslowho practice this sport more or less professionally. For this reason, the idea emerged to integrate Polish communities of passionate footballers by creating a football tournament dedicated to them.

Initially, a maximum of 8 teams were to take part in it. However, due to the large number of applications submitted already 3 days after the announcement of the tournament, it was decided to take place not on two, but four pitches.

When will it take place?

The event will take place on June 23.06.2018, 101 on grassy pitches in Oslo at Ekebergveien XNUMX. Anyone can join the tournament, there are no restrictions in terms of football skills, age or gender. The most important thing is that as many representatives of the Norwegian Polish Diaspora as possible take part.

Who has already signed up?

After three days, 17 teams have already signed up - so far registration has been made by phone. The bands come from all over Norway, incl. Fredrikstad, Moss, Drammen, Honefoss, Alesund and Kristiansand. The team from Stavanger is still considering submitting their minimum 6-person squad. The maximum team can consist of 10 people - it is also possible to complete 4 reserves.

Whom to report to?

The main organizer is the Love Dance Help Foundation, which operates, inter alia, laureate of this year's Outstanding Pole Gala in the "Personality of the Year" category. Applications must be made by contacting this organization.

Cost and purpose of the collected funds

To participate in the tournament, a fee must be paid entry fee. It amounts to 2 Norwegian kroner. However, the goal is noble, because the collected funds will go to orphanages in Poland. Sports equipment is to be purchased that will enable the development of sports passion not only for children who play football.

Accompanying events

In addition to the entertainment itself resulting from playing football matches, the organizers have also planned a number of other attractions. There will also be plebiscites.

  • top shooter
  • the best goalkeeper
  • competitor with fantasy
  • the best goal of the tournament

Plans for the future

The guest of the broadcast announced that they would like to organize this tournament at least twice a year. First of all, due to the great interest in the event among the Polish community in Norway.
