Behind us, defeats with Senegal (2: 1) and a devastating defeat with Colombia (3: 0), we still have a match for honor with Japan, which is fighting to leave the group. Despite the poor performance, Polish footballers will still earn. They will have $ 3,2 million to share.

FIFA gives $ 8 million

FIFA in exchange for participation in the tournament World Cup awards each team $8 million for their appearance in the group stage. Additionally, it covers the costs related to preparation for the World Cup up to USD 1,5 million. The players agreed with the Polish Football Association that they would receive 40% of what they won during the tournament. Therefore, they will have to share the amount of USD 3,2 million.

The teams that leave the group can count on bigger prizes. The teams finishing in the 1/8 finals will receive 12 million dollars, in the quarter-finals the amount is 16 million dollars. The team in 4th place will receive $ 22 million, and the team in 3rd place will receive $ 24 million. The finalist of the event, in turn, will receive USD 28 million, while the World Champion will receive a staggering sum of USD 38 million.
