On August 15, the staging planned on a grand scale on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of independence in Poland is to take place in Warsaw. The organizing committee of the parade was established many months ago to prepare it in the best possible way. The summer date was chosen not by accident - on November 11, the weather may not be favorable to the organization of an outdoor event. In addition, the leitmotif of the event is to be the tradition of the Polish army, and not a specific day of the liberation of the homeland.

Recently, such a great historical march was moving along the streets of Warsaw in 1966 - at that time, however, it had a propaganda character and took place in honor of Władysław Gomułka
Due to the fact that Aleje Ujazdowskie are too narrow to organize a march on such a large scale, this year it will take place on Wisłostrada. Thanks to this, the parade will be more visible, reaching a wider audience. In addition, the space will allow the organization of a historic camp on the Vistula meadows. The pageant will follow the route from the Gdański Bridge to the Śląsko-Dąbrowski Bridge, right next to the Citadel and the Fountain Park on Wybrzeże Gdańskie.

Parade confirmed already in December
The preparations for the parade were confirmed in December. At that time, the march of representatives of the Polish military over the many centuries of the existence of the Polish state was announced. It was announced that members of the reconstruction groups (including the Polish XNUMXth-century cavalry or medieval knight brotherhoods), historical vehicles and military horse troops were to participate in the magnificent historic parade. There was even an idea that planes should also appear in the staging, but the problematic idea remains a mystery to this day, as well as the program of the entire parade.

Unfortunately, the exact details of the procession still remain undisclosed by the Ministry of Defense, which is the organizer of the event. It is unofficially known that the parade is finally being finalized, and the general rehearsal of the Great Independence Parade is scheduled for August 12.08, on Sunday.
