Most likely, on September 1, the protest of the Road Transport Inspectorate will start. The decision to open an objection was made after a referendum organized by trade unions, which had already taken the first steps on potential changes. One of them is a letter to Prime Minister Morawiecki, who is the head of the protesters. The letter contains a proposal to meet and talk about the demands.

The details of the action have been agreed

Huber Jóźwik, the chairman of the Trade Union, informed that on August 7 there was a meeting of the chairmen of the trade unions in Poznań, where a committee had met to determine the details of the protest action.

Difficult ITD situation

The ITD situation is difficult. In just six months, over 10% of inspectors left their jobs. Excessive responsibilities and staff shortages go hand in hand with financial problems. Wages - according to inspectors - are not only grossly low, but also unfairly divided. The salaries of officials are paid by voivodes, which makes financial and employer uniformity impossible. Depending on the commune, the amount of remuneration for the same position changes - the differences range from several hundred to even a thousand zlotys. Regulating the structures will make it possible to achieve consistency in employment rules in all regions.

Lack of proper security

The inspectorate's employees also complain about the lack of adequate safety for them on expressways and motorways while performing their duties. They also demand that their positions be included in the status of uniformed services. Jóźwik points out that ITD employees perform their work similarly to the police in a 24-hour system, working with weapons. However, unlike police officers, they still remain officials for reasons they do not understand.

The protest is about mass layoffs medical examinations, carrying out conscientious and exceptionally long inspections of trucks and giving drivers warnings instead of fines. This is intended to be an expression of dissatisfaction of all employed inspectors and to indicate difficulties in performing their duties.
