Revolut in Norway - a modern banking concept enters the Norwegian market. It is not a bank, but it has all the necessary functionalities of a financial institution - it can make free international transfers, hold funds in 25 currencies, and use only one card for payments abroad. At the same time, these types of exchanges are carried out using the interbank rate, but without a margin and no additional fees.

Revolut in Norway - how does it work?

If Revolut is not a bank, how can you send transfers through it? The whole concept is based on a mobile application that allows you to manage your finances. Cashless payments, in turn, are handled by the MasterCard card. Revolut in Norway is a kind of digital wallet, but with an extended scope of security. Protection is provided thanks to the possibility of blocking or unblocking the payment card with one click, as well as access control based on geolocation.

Revolut - modern banking

Revolut was launched in 2013 in London. In just three years, it has gained immense popularity - currently over 2,5 million people from 42 European countries use this solution. Poles especially like this application - our homeland is the fifth country in terms of the number of users.

Revolut in Norway - time for expansion

Revolut is already operating in Norway - currently this service is used by approx. 10 thousand. people. Development plans, however, are much more ambitious. It is assumed that the number of users will increase to 30. people by the end of 2018. In order to achieve the goal, a facility in Oslo will be opened, which will provide individual customer support. The branch will be headed by Espena Myklebusta - Country Manger and Sylwia Harewska - the Ambassador of the Revolut brand.

Revolut in Norway - how to start using?

Getting started with Revolut in Norway is easy. Just download the app from Google Play or AppStore. In the next step, you must go through the basic configuration process and enter your data into the system. Confirmation of your identity is not required at the beginning, but it is not worth delaying – it will give us access to the full functionality of the solution. The developers have provided the following three ways to confirm your identity:

  • ID card scan,
  • driving license scan,
  • selfie using the tools built into the app.

Charges

Launching the application requires a deposit of NOK 100 to your wallet. After this activity, you need to obtain a payment card - it is free of charge, however a fee must be paid in the amount of NOK 55 for delivery.
