. Due to electrical problems in Holmlia, the section between Kolbotn and Oslo S was closed to train traffic this morning. This could have led to many people switching to cars.

"We're working to fix the bug, but we don't know how long it will take," says Bane Nor. According to them, these are problems with the catenary.

- We have people on site to handle the case. The reason for trains not running is a contact wire that has fallen on an empty train. It is too early to say how long the work will take, spokesman Dag Svinsås of Bane Nor told NTB. The shipping company announced that it will present a new work forecast at 9 am.

In an interview with NRK, the railway company Vy stated that it was having problems providing enough buses in exchange for trains for the injured and thus encouraging people to consider other transport alternatives if possible.

A train passenger interviewed by VG talks about very long queues bus from Ski train station to Oslo.

- The queue just grows and grows - says the traveler.

Lots of traffic on E6 and E18

Vegtrafikksentralen traffic operator Mette Bunæs reports that there is heavy traffic on both the E6 and E18 towards Oslo.

- I suppose it is much more busy than on a normal Monday, but I dare not say it for sure. But it's clear that if people decide to go in the car because the train is stationary, there will be a big traffic jam, he says.

Chief Operating Officer Christian Krohn Engeseth in the Oslo Police District says they have not received any reports of special traffic incidents.

"The queue is probably simply because everyone starts working at the same time," he says.

One of the drivers informed VG about very slow traffic towards Oslo. According to the driver, traffic around Tusenfryd and towards the capital is more or less calm. Additionally, the Google Maps route planner shows a red dotted line with traffic on major roads roads towards Oslo.

Dag Vidar Hopøy, who is now sitting on the bus instead of the train, says he usually takes the train from Ski to Oslo every morning.

- Actually, everything is standing, nothing is going, says Hopøy. But there is nothing else but to calm down. Fortunately, such problems don't happen very often, the man continues.

Many people are likely to be late to work today because of problems with the trains.

Update, hours. 11:09
