The ceremonial opening of the Festival will be combined with the opening of the exhibition "Herbert", dedicated to one of the most important authors of the 28th century. century. Essayist, playwright, author of radio plays, poet associated with the anti-communist opposition. The Polish language owes him many sentences that contribute to building our imagination. Some of the most important include, among others: “Be faithful Go.” The exhibition will be open until October XNUMX. Both screenings will take place at Fredrikstad Cinema. The Hungarian film "Our Stork" tells the story of a stork that nested in a small village in Hungary. The bird becomes lonely after its relatives fly away - as they do every year - to Africa. The animal integrates with the village inhabitants, becoming its "little inhabitant". The film's action covers a year of the stork's life, from autumn, through winter and spring, during which the hero's relatives begin to return from warm countries. The story tells about the relationship between man and animals, as well as the human world and the animal world.

Honey hunters
The second film screened during the first day of Polske filmdager in Fredrikstad tells the story of the life of a swarm of bees that must be constantly on the move to survive. Producers introduced a camera to the hive to show the viewer a peculiar miniature of the Cosmos. This place has always been governed by its own rules. The viewer will have the opportunity to see how a bee comes into the world, how workers care for the mother of the swarm, and how the human world looks like through the eyes of these animals.
