Eugeniusz Bodo, called the "warm bastard", is undoubtedly the most famous actor of the interwar period. Today marks the 20th anniversary of the artist's death in a Soviet labor camp.
Renaissance man
Apart from the fact that Eugeniusz Bodo was considered the most popular actor of the interwar period, he had many other talents. He was a producer, screenwriter, director, but also a singer. Speaking of his last profession, he was lucky to sing the greatest known songs at that time, for example: "I made an appointment with her at nine", where crowds could have fun. Most often he acted in comedies. Many men could envy him not only his career, but also the success of the opposite sex. He was not very handsome, yet women fell in love with him to death.

The greatest idol of that time
If we ignore the great love that many women felt for him, Eugeniusz Bodo was considered not only an eternal lover, but also the most beloved actor of the interwar period. He was someone whom Poland had not yet known or seen. He could be considered a modern-day celebrity. People considered him a symbol of those times, but also an idol. The actor had a positive aura around him because he was alive fullness of life which could be seen in more than one of his behaviors.

Outstanding singer
Nowadays, many of the songs he sang are still hot. Many of us know the words of at least one of them, but we don't always know who sang them. It should be remembered that he has performed such songs as: I made an appointment with her at nine o'clock, Sex appeal is our woman's weapon, Baby oh those baby and/ or I'm such a cold bastard already. Ex he worked with the best to produce each song, but that's not what brought him such spectacular success. The effects were earned by Eugeniusz Bodo himself, whose talent and charm did their job.

Considered one of the greatest admirers of the interwar period. He went to a lot of parties. He was able to fit in with any company and, most importantly, he liked being in it spotlight. He most often played in comedies, but it was not only on the set of films that he could make people laugh. He could find something funny in every aspect of life.
A tragic death
His happy, joyful and carefree life has nothing to do with the way he left this world. Exactly 75 years ago, on October 7, 1943, Eugene Bodo died of exhaustion and hunger in the Soviet Kotlas labor camp in the Arkhangelsk camp. He spent two years of his life there. Bodo also had Swiss citizenship and that is why Because of this, he was not included in the amnesty for Polish people citizens.
