Norwegian police are urging drivers not to use their cars if they have not yet changed from summer to winter tires. The winter attack in eastern Norway effectively made it difficult to navigate on Norwegian roads. In the morning hours, snow was also found on the main roads of Oslo.

“Is driving on summer tires allowed?”

As early as 3:00 am, the police in Oslo received inquiries from drivers whether they could go on the roads, if they had not yet changed their tires to winter tires. There is only one answer - it is not possible to ride on summer tires. Due to the above, no officer may give such consent.

“Consider public transport”

Police officers also urge drivers to seriously consider driving a car in today's weather conditions. Due to unfavorable weather, it is recommended to use public transport. Especially in places where a lot of snow has fallen, such as the eastern and northern parts of Oslo.

As Jarle Hopperstad reported: “We had three accidents caused by drivers who did not change tires from summer to winter. Two of them happened in Sandefjord, one in Tønsberg. All perpetrators lost their driving licenses because of this," he said Tønsbergs Error.

Pedestrian hit at the crossing

As reported Tønsbergs Error, there were also other accidents caused by bad weather conditions. Ok. At 7:00 am in Tønsberg, the car did not stop before the pedestrian crossing which the pedestrian wanted to use. Unfortunately, the woman was hit and taken to the hospital.
