Torp-Sandefjord Airport has been temporarily closed as of today. The reason was an electricity problem that lasted from 9:08 am to 10:45 am. Some of the planes were sent to nearby airports because the runway was not illuminated.

Airport Torp-Sandefjord is the second airport serving Oslo. It was established in 2010, 120 kilometers from the capital of Norway. Poles can fly here with airlines such as Wizz Air or Ryanair.

Electricity problem

On Friday morning at 9:08 she arrived at the airport accident related to lack of electricity. The power problem affected several hundred passengers waiting for their departures. The airport crew began to operate very efficiently, as several flights were quickly diverted. Namely, flights from Skopje and Alicante landed at Gardermoen. The machine from Trondhejm was diverted to Bergen, and the flight from Menchester went to Stravanger.

Crash resolved

Fortunately, the problem with the power supply did not last long, although even such a time is a great loss for the airport. At 10:45 am, the electricity returned to the airport and passengers could breathe a sigh of relief. It is reported that during the failure, 505 passengers suffered as they waited for their start. Information manager in Skagerak Nett Ruhne Nilssen reports that the cause of the power failure is currently unknown, but a cable failure is suspected.
