20 firefighters and 7 fire trucks took part in the rescue operation. The greatest concern was the spread of fire to the yard around the car repair shop. Such an event could lead to the ignition of neighboring buildings, which the guards did not want to cause.

Evacuation of people

Nearby residents were evacuated. People who stayed in nearby buildings were asked to close all windows because of the thick smoke that was spreading faster and faster. His entry into their homes could be very dangerous. Drive through Økern Torgvei / Økernveien is currently not possible, traffic has been blocked. The fire brigade provides information related to the state of fire on an ongoing basis. Fortunately, so far no case has been reported that someone would be injured. The police informed that a lot of flames were still emanating from the workshop, and there were still a large number of parked cars next to the burning building.
