The New Year's Eve night is behind us, which for many residents of Voss will be unforgettable and even tragic. The fire from December 31 to January 1 occupied four apartments. 50 people were evacuated.
The fire occurred on the night of December 31 to January 1. The fire broke out in an area where there are approximately 14-15 apartments. The fire burned four apartments, which were completely destroyed. 50 people were evacuated, 20 of whom were taken to hospital with numerous injuries and burns. “The fire led to the total destruction of the apartments, there is absolutely nothing there that could be saved. However, it should be added that we managed to extinguish the fire and thus saved the apartment below." – informs NTB, fire brigade commander Ronald Drotningsvik. The police say that the fire most likely started on the roof, but this information is not yet confirmed.

No serious injuries
According to the fire brigade officers, despite such a large number of evacuated people, as well as a large group of people transported to a nearby hospital, no one was hurt. None of the injured persons sustained serious injuries and burns. Most of the people affected by this tragedy were sent to the hospital, but only for follow-up purposes.
