Highway tolls in Norway. As we informed earlier - the inhabitants of Norway are very concerned about the introduction of new gate fees. According to the latest news - from June 1 big changes are in the way. The fees will be lower, but there will be more goals. How will it work in practice?

Road tolls in Norway - what can we expect?

On June 1, 2019, 53 new gates will open in the Oslo and Akershus area. Therefore, the applicable rates and privileges for people who have a current AutoPASS contract will also change - drivers can count on as much as 20 percent. discount for journeys.
It is worth mentioning - electric car drivers will also be charged with fees - they have not been applicable so far.

Traffic in three zones!

These 83 gates will be divided into 3 zones: the inner zone (indre ring), Oslo zone (Osloringen) and the city boundary (bygrensen). When entering the city center, the fee will be charged once. In other zones, the fee will apply in both directions. Good news is that the toll rates themselves will be lower - the driver of a diesel car outside rush hours now has to pay CZK 50, from June he will pay from CZK 19 to 25. Doesn't it sound good?

Agreement with AutoPASS

You have the so-called bombrikke?  A special recording device journeys - without it you will pay even twice as much. Passenger car drivers will gain 20 percent. discounts on the basic rate - they will also be entitled to take advantage of the so-called hourly rule (timesregel).

New fee table

What does this mean in practice? In a 60-minute ride, they will only pay for one toll in the area Indra Ring and Oslo Ringen, and also for one of the trips across the city border.

Fees for journeys for passenger cars (basic / rush hour) from June 1:

indre ring:
- Petrol car / hybrid: 17 NOK / 21 NOK
- Diesel: 19 NOK / 23 NOK
- Electric car: NOK 4 / NOK 8

Osloringen:
- Petrol car / hybrid: 21 NOK / 27 NOK
- Diesel: 25 NOK / 30 NOK
- Electric car: NOK 5 / NOK 10
