The next parliamentary elections will be held in October. As it always happens, individual parties prepare a series of election promises. This is also the case here. Unfortunately, in view of the recent problems with crude oil, some of the election promises will not be realized. Elections and oil go hand in hand. This is shown very clearly in the latest report - Norway is a country dependent on oil. If we even take a closer look at the capital city of the country - Oslo - about 7.000 workers would lose their jobs if the oil industry ceased to exist.

Elections and oil - an inseparable relationship

ARENDAL (Nettavisen Ekonomia): Without the oil and gas industry, Norway would have been forced to apply severe cuts to welfare programs, according to a recent report. It turns out that as many as 70 percent of respondents support the continued extraction and production of oil and gas in Norway. At the same time, a large number of people say that the money from oil and gas extraction today is unreal and unimaginable. This mainly applies to the youngest generations. Today's kids, young people do not remember or know what the country of fjords looked like before the discovery of "oil wealth".

Oil industry representatives are watching with interest as oil and gas issues emerge in election promises.
