The Polar Circle. We are very happy to host people who infect with passion and extraordinary interests. They have knowledge and a unique personality. We are all the more pleased when those full of passion and joy of life are young people: children and youth. This is also the case here. The Polar Circle Association are people you want to meet. We met at a hotel in Oslo and talked about the origins of the Association and the Polar Field Championship. See the conversation transcript.

Polar Circle Association - how did it start?

The beginnings of the Association date back to 2015. All organizational matters took a while: registration of the Association, registration in the National Court Register. However, with the efficient help of a few trusted people, everything went quickly and according to plan. The mission of the Association is to spread passion and love for the Nordic countries. During trips (and not only virtual ones), members of the Association want to share their knowledge and experience with others. We want as many people as possible (from an early age ...) to get acquainted with the rich and interesting tradition, history, mythology and geographical values of the Scandinavian countries. This region is worth seeing and getting to know - not just once.

How does the Association work?

The Polar Circle Association primarily organizes a number of questions and meetings: primarily at schools. The founders of the Association want to instill in young people a love of travel, learning about new cultures, and a different mentality - Scandinavia is perfect for this. The priority event organized by the Association is: Polar Field Championship. The main prize this year was a trip to Norway and getting to know its most interesting places, including the capital of Oslo, the most important fjords.
