We don't have good news for all Norwegian airlines customers. This brand is constantly developing. In previous publications, we wrote about the carrier's new projects. We also informed about new connections that Norwegian is constantly introducing. Now, unfortunately, we don't have good information. Norwegian introduces further fees. This time for hand luggage, the one we always take with us on board the plane. Where did this idea come from? What do travelers say about this? How high will the fees be? Read our today's text!

Norwegian: Hand luggage fees. Travelers will pay more in February ...

Unfortunately, travelers will pay more. The changes are to come into force in February. The modification will be as follows. When buying the cheapest possible ticket, we will not be able to take a small, hand-held suitcase on wheels with us on the plane ticket. Lasse Sandaker-Nielsen, Chief Information Officer at Norwegian, told Nettavisen that this is a natural step in the development business of the company:

“Norwegian's business model is based on freedom of choice. And this is the basis for introducing new regulations. As we informed you earlier, we are working on updating ours regulations regarding luggage transport, in order to provide all our travelers with the most comfortable flight possible and to ensure that the planes fly according to schedule.

Norwegian calms you down: we will not pay extra for all types of luggage ...

According to the Norwegian team, the mood of anxiety among Norwegian customers is unnecessary. As it turns out, not for every type of hand luggage the traveler will have to pay a fee. He will have the right to choose what luggage he takes with him. The surcharge applies only to luggage with wheels.

“Everyone traveling with our airlines can still take hand luggage on board the plane, regardless of the type of ticket. If you only need one bag or purse that will fit under the front seat, then you should purchase our cheapest ticket type. Passengers who want to take hand luggage in the form of a small suitcase that must be placed on the shelf above the seats must choose a different type of ticket and pay slightly more than the basic ticket version. – explains Sandaker-Nielsen Nettavisen.

Baggage allowance changes ...

Norwegian: Hand luggage fees. Luggage weight limit is subject to change. The weight limit for checked baggage will change from 20 to 23 kg. In addition, those with flexible tickets will be able to bring 15 kg of luggage on board. Until now, the weight could not exceed 10 kg.
