. Prince Haakon and Prime Minister Erna Solberg took part in the 75th anniversary of the liberation of the Auschwitz camp. Norwegian concentration camp prisoners Edith Notowicz, Chana Arberman and Maria Gabrielsen were also present there. The Prime Minister emphasized that despite the passage of time, returning to this place is very painful. We cannot forget history. We still have to remember her. This was not the first visit of the Norwegian Prime Minister to this place. She had already visited the camp during her school days, and most recently 5 years ago. These are always great emotions for her. How was the visit?

. Memories come back.

Edith Notowicz, who was imprisoned here as a child with her parents, was also present during the visit. This is how he recalls this time:

“It was terrible here from the beginning, if such words reflect what I experienced. I asked everyone if they knew my parents. Have you seen my mom? Have you seen my dad? I thought everyone must know them. "

The Prime Minister of Norway was moved by the visit.

. The Prime Minister drew attention to the fact that time does not stand still. Less and less prisoners are already alive. Those who are still with us are getting older. We must keep their memory and what they want to share with us. She emphasized this during the celebrations.

“We hear terrifying stories from witnesses that so far could only be seen in films, such as the story of Dr. Mengele's experimental child. This is not a film, we can also hear it from the lips of Norwegian witnesses of those times. We can see that the number of students traveling with schools to extermination camps is increasing. It is extremely important for the next generations. You should be aware of what happened at that time. "

Both the prime minister and former prisoners insisted that the worst thing to do now is indifference. Today's generations cannot forget history.
