Painting a house in Norway. What materials to use, how to do it step by step yourself, or how much you can expect for such a service.
Preparation. Do it yourself and save
Before painting, everything should be washed. I used Jotun's Kraftvask Og Soppfjerner, it is a fungicide and will remove all unnecessary dirt and grease from your walls. It is important not to leave the windows sprayed for long because there will be stains on the windows that cannot be washed off. It should be washed off the windows immediately and after the trouble. After spraying the detergent, start washing with a pressure washer after about 20 minutes.
We wait about 2 days for the walls to dry and start scraping the old paint layer. In our case there was no need, the panel is new and after washing it is basically ready for painting right after drying, of course.

If you had to scrape the walls because e.g. the paint was peeling. Cover such places with a primer first. After everything is ready, we start painting. and basically ready.

Security.
Remember to always be especially careful in your work. Always pay attention to how the scaffolding is secured and check the qualifications of the basket lift operator. But above all, use caution, know that we cannot fly.

The material costs in our specific 2020 case are.
