Make sure your windows are always covered to avoid unwanted visitors people couldn't see what they found inside.

The conclusion is that you must first of all choose such methods of securing the apartment that will be as difficult as possible for burglars and take a lot of time. Wilted flowers on the windowsill or lights off after dark are a sign that the house is empty.
If you are planning a long trip, ask a friend or neighbor to look after the house. Burglars are observers, if they notice that there is no light in your house after dark for a few days, or the flowers on the windowsill have withered, it is a sign that no one is looking after the house. Ask your friend to turn on the light in your house from time to time, leave the TV or radio playing for a few hours just to let something happen.
